CANARY ISLANDS
LOCATION
- The Canary Islands are located in the Atlantic Ocean, Nort-West of Africa and South-West of Europe.
- We are directly in front of the coast of Morocco

ANIMALS AND PLANTS
The Canary Island Date Palm
It is one of the most grown and popular ornamental trees all around the world.
It has got very sweet fruits called dates.
Goats
The Goats were already in Canary Islands when Spanish people conquered them.
Goats are the most important livestock in the Canary Islands
Camels (dromedary)
The first Camels were brought to the Canary Islands from Africa in about 1405.
They were essential in the european colonization.
The canary camel is the only breed of camel that lives in Europe.
Nowadays, they are used as a mean of transport on trips for tourists.
BOTTLED-NOSE DOLPHIN
- The Canary Islands are know as home of dolphins.
- Theare a large numbers of this animals in Canary Islands.
- They are very friendly with human beings.
- They are very intelligent so they can help very much human beings.
GIANT LIZARD
- The giant lizard a protteted species since 1975.
- It reaches 75cm in length.
- It has goat a long thin tail.
- It eats insets and plants
- The breeding seaseon is in May,after 1 mounth the femele lay 12 eggs in a nest,of whict the young come out afthe 8 weeks.
- The giant lizart is live on the earth from the jurasic time.
MAGORERA GOAT
- The majorera goat is particulary strong breed and has been expoted to África and América.
- Its milk is essential in the human being diet.
- The majorero chesse is one of the most famous in Spain.
- In the 13th and 14th centuries goats were beady present in the Island.
- Nowadays goat are the most important livestock resurce in the Islands.
